Terms of service
Last updated: 23 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Company Associates website and services. By creating an account, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Our service
Company Associates prepares and administers the registration and compliance services described in your selected package. We act as a corporate services intermediary — we are not the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), the South African Revenue Service (SARS), the Department of Employment and Labour, or any other government body.
Government decisions, name availability, processing times, and final approval remain entirely at the discretion of the relevant authority and are outside our control. Estimated turnaround times shown on this site are indicative only and are not a guarantee.
2. Orders and payment
Payment is required before we begin work on your order, either by card/online payment through our payment processor or by electronic funds transfer (EFT) using the reference provided at checkout.
EFT orders are held as pending until the deposit reflects in our account and has been manually confirmed. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect reference numbers, incorrect banking details obtained from outside this site, or bank processing times.
Prices displayed are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are once-off fees per service unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is confirmed.
3. Refunds and cancellations
Because work — including third-party filing fees and name reservation submissions — often begins shortly after payment, refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis against work already completed, any non-recoverable third-party costs incurred, and applicable consumer protection law.
To request a refund or cancellation, contact support with your order reference number as soon as possible. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, lawful, and current information and documents. This includes proposed company names, director and shareholder details, identity documents, and proof of address.
Delays, rejections, or additional costs arising from incorrect, incomplete, or fraudulent information you provide are your responsibility. We may pause or decline to proceed with an order where we reasonably suspect the information provided is inaccurate or unlawful.
You must be legally entitled to register the entities and act on behalf of the individuals named in your order.
5. Documents and communication
Completed certificates and documents are delivered digitally through your order workspace. You are responsible for keeping copies of documents we provide and for downloading them within a reasonable time.
We may contact you by email, phone, or SMS regarding your order. It is your responsibility to keep your contact details up to date in your account.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Company Associates' liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits or business opportunities, arising from government processing delays, rejections, or third-party system outages beyond our reasonable control.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "last updated" date on this page. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
