Automated filing
Register my company
Enter your company details once. After payment we file a standard Private Company (Pty) Ltd and email you when the documents are ready — you can close the browser, because processing continues in the background.
What you'll need
Have these to hand before you start. Nothing is filed until you have reviewed everything and paid.
Up to five company names
Listed in order of preference. Each one is checked for length, characters and duplicates before it goes anywhere near CIPC.
What the business does
A short description of the main activity, plus the financial year-end you want the company to run to.
Director and incorporator details
Full name and a South African ID number or passport for each person, along with a residential address. ID numbers are checksum-validated as you type.
Shareholders and the split
Who holds shares and how many. Ownership has to add up to 100% before the application will validate.
Registered and postal addresses
Both are required. The registered address is the one that appears on the public CIPC record.
The nine steps
The form walks through these in order and validates as you go, so problems surface before they reach CIPC rather than after.

What this path does not cover
The automated route files a standard Private Company (Pty) Ltd. Other entity types, a custom Memorandum of Incorporation, or preference shares need a practitioner to review the application — the form flags these and routes them for manual handling rather than filing them automatically.
